The Motorland Aragon Circuit is a new entry in this MotoGP 2010 season. It is a really interesting circuit with spectacular speeds. And this is why the fundamental ingredient to be a winner here, is to have Top Speed. The results of today’s qualifications proves this point. The two official Ducati’s did brilliantly. Number 27, Casey Stoner, is at the pole position, followed by Jorge Lorenzo (99), and Dani Pedrosa (26). Dani Pedrosa has done an excellent job so far and after winning the last race at Misano, He has a chance of beating Jorge Lorenzo only if Lorenzo makes big mistakes. A consistent performance from Jorge will be sufficient for him to become the 2010 MotoGP Champion.
Casey Stoner’s Pole Position was absolutely deserved as he was the only one to do a Lap-Time under the 1 min 49 sec wall. Stoner did an excellent 1′48.942, Followed by Jorge only at 1′49.251. A net 0.309 sec gap. This has surely given Casey Stoner confidence to face the Aragon GP Race. Valentino Rossi only managed to do a 7th place time. He is having real problems with his shoulder. An awkward condition due to the fact that his broken leg does not create him any problems now, but the shoulder is causing problems and it is blocking him from giving his 100%. Rossi is planning to take surgery at the end of this season, thus, giving him time for recovery before the new season in Ducati.
